Elisa and Jeremy got married at the Rivera in downtown L.A. on June 28th. The fact that Jeremy contacted me in an initial inquiry goes to show that these two like doing things a bit differently! That being said, I love working with people who march to the beat of their own drum!
When we talked about their preferences, they emphasized how they wanted images that didn’t look staged and how much they liked a natural look as far as their wedding photography was concerned. This natural look is a bit of an art form and requires experience as well as some time. In Elisa and Jeremy’s wedding nothing whatsoever was scripted but I just rolled with it and I’m proud to say: it worked out really well.
The atmosphere was very laid back -after some getting ready shots at the J.W. Marriott we moved to the Rivera for a sweet family meet and greet session, followed by a cocktail hour and the Signing of the Ketubah. Honoring an old jewish tradition the ceremony officiated by lovely Rabbi Elanor Steinman started at sundown. Jeremy and Elisa walked down the isle together, holding hands and were serenaded by classical guitarist Tavi Jinariu.
After the ceremony Rivera served up an amazing reception dinner- their food is truly inspiring in a refined modern ambiance. Overall I really loved the casual elegance of this wedding. Everyone had an amazing time- scroll down and you’re going to see the images to prove it!
